Just being a silly goose 🪿

Jeneva Rose is back with Sometimes I Scare Myself, a brilliantly twisted new horror book that’s arrived just in time to make your Halloween even spookier!

The Postcard Edit: One Perfect Book

📍 London, where even the buses are getting a little too involved in my horror reads

The mornings have been so misty lately, just in time for Halloween season!!! And you know what else has arrived in time to celebrate the spookiest time of the year??!??

Yes, that’s right. Jeneva Rose’s new book Sometimes I Scare Myself is out now!!

Now you may or may not know that I’m a huge fan of Jeneva Rose’s work. And you know, one of the best things about keeping Instagram as a hobby is that this gives me a lot of artistic freedom. Sometimes I Scare Myself has been travelling with me across London all week, so I thought... why not photograph every moment as I read it??

The book is made up of three short stories, each with its own deliciously creepy premise: 1) a birthday séance goes horribly wrong, opening a door to the other side; 2) a family moves into a home with a disturbing history of disappearances and deaths; 3) a group of friends trapped in a snowstorm at a shop selling cursed objects soon discover that things are getting rather deadly (I’ll be sticking to window shopping, thank you very much)

Sometimes I Scare myself is deliciously dark, wonderfully twisted and impossible to put down. Jeneva Rose knows exactly how to get under your skin!!

Ps. As I was taking pictures for this post, a bus came into frame. I looked at it and the word Chase appeared out of nowhere. I almost dropped my phone!!! IYKYK

Save this for your next spooky read! 🎃
